Legal Aid’s Social Work Department provides a variety of social services to help clients resolve critical issues in order to enhance the effectiveness of their legal representation. Graduate social work students work alongside staff social workers, and collaborate with legal advocates, to serve our clients. Social work students will maintain their own small case-loads. They will also design and complete a long-term research or advocacy project.
Social Work Field Placements are usually based in our Cleveland office. Field placement hours and lengths of service are guided by the requirements of your educational institution.
