Externships:
The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland had two rotating extern programs:  in the Spring (January through April) and in the fall (August/September through November/December).  Law students will volunteer in-house and will support the work of Legal Aid’s attorneys. They will conduct legal research, review documents, draft memoranda, assist with trial preparation and otherwise partner with Legal Aid’s attorneys to assist clients.  For more information click here.

Summer Associate Program:
Each summer the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland hosts dedicated, public-minded law students to work in Legal Aid’s four Northeast Ohio offices.  This is an 11 week, full-time in-house volunteer program.  Summer Associates will support the work of Legal Aid’s attorneys.  Generally, Summer Associates will interview clients, draft court pleadings, research relevant legal issues, attend and assist with court hearings and trials, and more.
