Hello from Legal Aid!

We’re starting off the year with a busy calendar of free legal advice clinics and spreading the word about free tax preparation resources. We hope you find this email useful and encourage you to circulate this information with your networks.

Legal Aid is Hiring
Legal Aid is hiring for several roles, including an Administrative Assistant and a Staff Attorney in our Volunteer Lawyers Program. We are also seeking an attorney to support survivors of human trafficking in partnership with the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. Visit the careers page on our website for a full list of current openings and details about how to apply.

Free Tax Preparation Assistance Programs
A variety of resources are available to help low-income Northeast Ohio residents with tax preparation. Call 2-1-1 or visit our website for links to tax preparation assistance programs in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Lorain Counties. In addition, Legal Aid staff will be attending several Super Refund events in the community to share information about Legal Aid's Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and other resources.

2023 Legal Clinics
Our 2023 calendar is off to a strong start, with many neighborhood-based legal clinics scheduled. Please see the list below, and continue to check our website as additional clinics will be added. View the events calendar on our website.

We continue to host regular Expungement Clinics for those who need assistance sealing a criminal record. Call 888-817-3777 to schedule an Expungement Clinic appointment.

Our next Naturalization Clinic, a specialty advice clinic for those applying for U.S. citizenship, is scheduled for April 22. Learn more and download a flyer to share.
