Legal Aid needs help spreading the word about the great work we do in the community. And, we need help raising funds to serve more than 18,000 clients each year. Volunteer opportunities are available for those interested in public relations, fundraising or grant writing.

Development & Communications in-house volunteer positions are usually based in our Cleveland office. In-house volunteer positions typically open in January, May and August, and require a minimum 12 hour a week, 12-week commitment. In the summer months these are full-time volunteer positions.

Requirements for volunteering with Legal Aid include a commitment to helping low-income persons; excellent communication skills; an ability to work independently and with a team; and respect for people of diverse cultures and communities. Additional requirements include a proficiency in MS Office 365; attention to detail; and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
