In these times, when we have so many issues with poverty, homelessness, immigration issues, domestic violence, all of these kinds of things are people at a worst point in their lives. If you add into that maybe they don’t speak English, maybe they don’t read, maybe they don’t have a place to live or a family they can count on, they need the help of Legal Aid attorneys. And, they need that help dramatically.
I see Legal Aid give people a safe place to get help to make their case and move in the right direction instead of the wrong direction.
