As I represented a veteran who had terrible PTSD after surviving a terrorist attack. Returning home, he had difficulty keeping employment because of flashbacks, episodes of anxiety and depression, but he had been unable to obtain the necessary benefits to help him. I was able to win him a significant back award, future benefits and coverage for treatments, which for him and his family were life-saving.
That’s my Legal Aid story. It was more than a legal aid moment for me — it was life changing for him and his family.
