Legal Aid is proud to be a community partner for the 48th Annual Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF48).
CIFF48 will take place April 3-13, 2024 at Playhouse Square, followed by CIFF48 Streams, which will take place April 14-21, 2024 online.
Legal Aid is excited to be a community partner for the film It's Basic, which explores the concept of Universal Basic Incomes - the idea of providing all Americans a guaranteed income to ensure they can cover their families’ basic needs. By chronicling cities piloting Universal Basic Income programs, It's Basic reveals the transformative impact of these dollars in the pockets of hard-working citizens and the catalyst for long-term financial stability.
It's Basic will screen on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:40 PM in the Mimi Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square, and will also be available during CIFF Streams.
Legal Aid is committed to promoting justice, and values of fairness and equity guide our work. We applaud CIFF for elevating films that highlight issues of justice and equity and are proud to be a community partner for this film.
