Legal Aid managing attorney recognized as part of 100+ Latinos Cleveland Must Know

Barbara Barreno-Paschall, Managing Attorney of Legal Aid’s Economic Justice Practice Group, has been selected for the 2025 Cohort of the “100+ Latinos Cleveland Must Know.”

The “100+ Latinos Cleveland Must Know” is an initiative created by AmMore Consulting in 2020 to elevate the profile of the Hispanic/Latino/Latinx professional community of Greater Cleveland by creating a platform for greater visibility, along with professional and leadership development opportunities.

Barbara joined Cleveland Legal Aid in 2024 as a Senior Attorney in the Economic Justice Group and was promoted to Managing Attorney in 2025. Prior to her tenure at Legal Aid, Barbara served as Vice Chair and Commissioner of the State of Illinois Human Rights Commission from 2019 to 2024. Barbara also was an Associate at Sidley Austin LLP and a Senior Staff Attorney at Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights.

Currently, Barbara serves as a Board Member of Esperanza, Inc., President of Harvard Alumni for Global Women's Empowerment, Board Trustee of the Harvard Club of Northeast Ohio, and an Elected Director of the Harvard Alumni Association. Barbara previously taught as an Adjunct Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

Barbara obtained her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, a master of public policy degree from The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, and her bachelor's degree from Harvard College.
