Celebrate EITC Awareness Day with Ohio Legal Aids!

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is one of the most impactful tools for reducing poverty and supporting low- to moderate-income workers. To celebrate EITC Awareness Day 2025, Ohio's Legal Aids are teaming up for a very special Facebook Live event on Friday, January 31.  

Despite the incredible benefits of the EITC, more than 20% of eligible households didn’t claim the credit in 2023, leaving millions of dollars on the table that could have been used to cover basic needs. That’s why it’s so important to help spread the word about this potentially life-changing tax credit!  

Tune in to Legal Aid’s Facebook on Friday, January 31 to learn what taxpayers need to know about the EITC—what it is, who qualifies, how to find tax assistance, and more! Join us at 2 p.m. for Spanish and 2:30 p.m. for English.
