This program will provide an overview of Ohio Housing Law, and will cover the statutes and resources relevant to conditions issues, the rent escrow process, and utility shutoffs. The program will inform attorneys on how to advise clients of their rights as a tenant, how to take the necessary steps to place their rent into escrow and what to do if there is a lockout or utility shutoff. It will also explain the opportunities and benefits that exist for volunteering with Legal Aid’s Volunteer Lawyer project.

Eligible for 1.5 hours of CLE credit, pending approval.
