At Legal Aid’s 117th Annual Meeting on December 2, a group of generous supporters announced an exciting challenge: if Legal Aid could raise $50,000 by December 19, then this group of supporters would match those donations up to $50,000, doubling the impact of gifts to Legal Aid.
The community went above and beyond, making gifts totaling $213,552! With the matching grant, $263,552 was raised for Legal Aid.
More than 400 supporters participated in the challenge. Gifts ranged from $5 to $5000 – and the variety of gifts created incredible impact. The entire team at Legal Aid thanks everyone for the terrific support. Together, we can continue to extend justice across Northeast Ohio and reach more families when and where they need civil legal counsel.
