United Way of Greater Cleveland will host a Community Conversation on education to discuss the continued impact of the pandemic on children, teachers, and schools. This event is part of the "Raising Our Voices" series, of which Legal Aid is a community sponsor.

As school districts continue to struggle with providing in-person and remote learning as Omicron and other new COVID-19 variants emerge, educational outcomes continue to be adversely impacted. Students, teachers, and families experience challenges with remote learning, the lack of digital resources in both urban and rural areas, social isolation, workforce shortages, and family stress. A panel of experts from Ohio, representing school districts, government, and social service agencies will discuss the continued impact of the pandemic on education in Ohio. Jenny Hamel, education reporter for Ideastream Public Media, will moderate the conversation.

- Eric Gordon - Chief Executive Officer, Cleveland Metropolitan School District
- Shari Obrenski - President, Cleveland Teachers Union
- Andrea Pollock - Director, Chagrin Falls Park Community Center, Family and Community Services, Inc.
- Thea Wilson, Ed.D. - Vice President for Children and Families, Step Forward
