Staff Bio Update

Sample Bio Template: Melanie Shakarian is an attorney who serves as Director of Development and Communications with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. For more than two decades, Melanie has led philanthropy, public relations, government relations and communications for the nonprofit law firm. Prior to her tenure at Legal Aid, Melanie worked for Catholic Charities and in a private law firm. Melanie obtained her law degree from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), and a certificate of nonprofit management from CWRU’s Weatherhead School of Management and the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations. She is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland 2015, and also a recipient of a German Marshall Fund Fellowship (2018-19). Melanie is a proud life-long resident of the City of Cleveland and in her spare time is a public trustee for the Cleveland Public Library.
