A driver's license is crucial for transportation - especially to get to and from work to earn money for your household.  Attorneys have unique skills to help people who face a driver's license issue.

This continuing legal education (CLE) program is designed for attorneys new to driver’s license suspensions. The CLE will:

  • cover ways to use the BMV’s Unofficial Driving Record,
  • provide an overview of common judicial and BMV suspensions, and
  • highlight ways to challenge BMV suspensions through litigation or the administrative process.

This is a virtual training for 1.5 CLE hours.  Attorney Bobby Walton - a veteran Legal Aid volunteer - is the main presenter.  Once completing this training, attorneys will have enough knowledge to participate in Legal Aid's Volunteer Lawyers Program and assist people who face legal issues related to driving.  All attorneys are welcome to join this free CLE!

Legal Aid is proud to co-sponsor this program with RHEMA YES (Reaching Hearts Every Moment Available; Yes to Excellence in Service), a non-profit organization of Rhema Fellowship Church, formed to enrich the lives of our community youth by addressing their intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs.
