City Council Meetings Resume In Person August 2
City Council and Committee of the Whole meetings will resume in person beginning on August 2. Livestreaming will still be available in addition to access on the City's YouTube channel.
Centennial Mural Installed at Noble/Roanoke Park
In celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the City of Cleveland Heights, resident Adam May won the competition to design a mural that is now up at Noble/Roanoke Park. Submissions were gathered in April and May from the many talented and creative people living or working in Cleveland Heights. A committee of community members was established to help make the final selection, which is now on view for all to see and enjoy just in time for the Noble Road Farmers Garden Market on August 7. This Week at Cain Park
Cleveland's own GroundWorks Dancetheater performs July 23-24 at 7:30pm and Anne E. DeChant rocks out on July 29 at 8pm at Cain Park. Free concerts include Debbie Gifford Quartet on July 25 from 1 to 4pm and Olympic Brass on July 27 at 8pm. For a complete schedule of events, visit the Cain Park website.
American Rescue Plan Act Survey
The City would like to hear how you think it should use the Rescue Plan Act funds ($38.8 million) Cleveland Heights was awarded from the Federal Government as a result of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). Please visit the website to rank your choices. The United States Treasury has set specific guidelines regarding how the City can spend these monies, which must be used by December 31, 2024.
Committee of the Whole Meeting August 9 at 6:30pm
This meeting will be held jointly with the Shaker Heights City Council with special guests from the Northeast Regional Sewer District to further discuss the future of Horseshoe Lake and the corresponding dams. The meeting will be held at the Cleveland Heights Community Center and will be open to the public. Questions can be submitted in advance up until Thursday, August 5 at noon. Responses may be sent back in advance or be addressed at the meeting. Written questions may also be taken during the meeting. July 27 is Deadline to Change/Add Refuse/Recycling Cart Order
Each household is scheduled to receive a 96-gallon refuse cart and a 64-gallon recycling cart. Larger households can pre-purchase an additional 96-gallon refuse cart and seniors may opt for a smaller 64-gallon or 32-gallon refuse cart and/or a 32-gallon recycling cart. To purchase an additional 96-gallon cart or for seniors requesting a smaller cart, visit the Cleveland Heights website by July 27.

Preliminary Design Proposals for Coventry PEACE Park on July 24
A public meeting will be held at the Coventry Village Library branch from 2 to 4pm on July 24 to discuss the preliminary design proposals of two landscape architects for the re-design of the Coventry PEACE Park. Attendees can ask questions about the direction of the park, provide their input on its future and enjoy light refreshments. Both landscape architects will present their finals plans for the park, including costs, at a public meeting on September 20.
