Federal Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program
On May 12th, the Federal Communications Commission initiated a new program to help families and households struggling to afford broadband internet service. The Federal Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program provides eligible households with:
- Up to $50 per month for broadband service;
- Up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands; and
- A one-time stipend of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased through a participating provider if the household contributes between $10 and $50 toward the purchase price.

COVID Vaccinations for Latinx Community

El Centro is hosting a private vaccination clinic for immigrants and the Latinx community: by appointment only, safe space, Spanish language providers and no ID required. Anyone who wants to schedule a vaccine appointment should contact Thelma Cruz at 440.240.7025 or at tcruz@lorainelcentro.org. This clinic will be offering the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
Cleveland Chain Reaction – Applications Open
The fourth season of the small business pitch competition “Cleveland Chain Reaction” is now accepting applications from small business owners interested in locating or growing their business in the city. Applications will be accepted through June 18th. For more information and to apply, click here.

Legal Aid and the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court have teamed up to lead a new Consumer Debt Defense program offering free legal assistance to those struggling with debt.
