Since 2003, Legal Aid has been embedded at The MetroHealth system - collaborating on a medical-legal partnership. Legal Aid attorneys train medical providers to spot legal issues in patient cases. The providers refer the cases to Legal Aid to ensure better health outcomes for patients. Beyond this initial partnership with MetroHealth, Legal Aid expanded its medical-legal partnerships to St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and University Hospitals.
