On Thursday, September 17, Legal Aid will be featured as one of the 50+ organizations that the Community Foundation of Lorain County is highlighting in its “Connect to a Cause” day of giving. From 8am – 8pm, you can log on to wwww.peoplewhocare.org to browse local charities and give directly to the cause of your choice. Participating organizations will be featured in an online “catalog” that users can “shop;” donations will go directly to the selected charity.
The Community Foundation of Lorain County provides grants to social service organizations in Lorain County to create a healthier, stronger community and foster a culture of philanthropy.
Connect to a Cause was created to celebrate the Community Foundation of Lorain County’s 40th anniversary. As a bonus, the Foundation’s Board of Directors committed an additional $40,000 to be distributed among participating charitable organizations.
Donations will go directly to the selected charity, and each dollar raised will count toward the organization’s proportional share of the Board’s contribution.
Legal Aid is proud to join this group of outstanding local nonprofits that serve Lorain County for “Connect to a Cause.” Our work to ensure safety, shelter, and stability for our region’s most vulnerable has become especially urgent in recent months. We are grateful for the support of the Community Foundation of Lorain County, and the generosity of Lorain County residents.
