Frantz Ward is proud to announce that partner Patrick F. Haggerty is the 2019 recipient of the St. Edward High School Legal Eagles Man of the Year Award, given to a graduate who has made a significant contribution to the Cleveland legal community. Pat will receive this award at a special luncheon to be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at The Silver Grille in Cleveland.
Pat is a graduate of the St. Edward High School Class of 1973. He has a B.A. from McGill University and a J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Throughout his career, Pat has made an effort to volunteer with several local organizations and to serve on nonprofit boards including service as a member of the Board and Chair of the Pro Bono Committee of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. He regularly provides pro bono representation to those unable to pay for legal services.
Pat is Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He represents clients in a wide range of litigation related issues and serves as national coordinating and national trial counsel for companies facing significant exposures. He has extensive experience in designing and coordinating defense strategies and investigation efforts for clients ranging from closely held corporations to Fortune 100 companies. Pat is regularly named to The Best Lawyers in America and Ohio Super Lawyers lists, and is consistently rated AV Preeminent, the highest ranking, for attorney professional and ethical excellence by Martindale-Hubbell. Pat created the firm's Cannabis Law and Policy Group in response to Ohio’s legalization of medical marijuana.
