Some Food Stamp recipients are getting new Ohio Direction cards

Households who have an Ohio Direction EBT card that is more than 7 years old should expect a new card in the mail by the end of 2015.

Anyone who receives a new card should activate it right away but no later than the March 1, 2016 deadline.

Current cards will continue working until either the new card is activated or March 1, 2016.  If anyone thinks they should have received a new card but does not get one should contact Ohio Direction Card customer service at 1-866-386-3071 and press option 4 to request a replacement card.  Additional information is available in the Family Assistance Letter.  Anyone who feels their food stamps were wrongly terminated can contact Legal Aid to apply for assistance.
