Legal Aid is participating in this special week-long campaign that encourages consumers nationwide to take full advantage of their consumer rights and make better-informed decisions.
In addition to Legal Aid, other agencies and organizations that offer consumer advice and assistance are participating in local events during National Consumer Protection Week, March 2 - March 8, 2025.
Free events are planned throughout the week to serve the public, including this event hosted by Legal Aid:
Legal Advice Clinic - Saturday, March 8, 2025
Intake hour from 10:00 - 11:00 AM
Cleveland Public Library, Eastman Campus
Hosted by The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Attorneys will be available in-person to listen to consumer-related and other civil issues and will then offer brief advice or referrals to useful resources. Consumers will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attorneys cannot give advice on criminal issues.
In addition, Legal Aid will also share consumer protection information during this event:
"Life and the Law" on 95.9 FM, WOVU - Thursday, March 20, 10:00 AM
On the third Thursday of every month, Legal Aid joins Our Voices Today, the signature community affairs program on Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. radio, for a conversation about a hot legal topic. The March episode will focus on consumer protection and debt. Tune in to WOVU 95.9 FM on Thursday, March 20 at 10:00 AM for the conversation.
