Thank you to all attorneys who did pro bono work with Legal Aid in 2024. Through an easy and quick process, you can get continuing legal education (CLE) credit for your pro bono work. To claim CLE credit for your pro bono hours - please follow the instructions below:
Click HERE to access a fillable PDF of Form 23 from the Supreme Court of Ohio. Or, view/download below (click on the three dots and then select download for your own fill-in and use).
Once the form is open on your computer, download and save so you can complete. Please enter the following information on the form:
SECTION A: Your name
SECTION D: <TOTAL HOURS>
You must fill out your total number of pro bono hours with Legal Aid in this current calendar year. If you are unsure of your total, you can contact Legal Aid for an updated transcript - please email probono@lasclev.org
SECTION E: <CLE CREDIT>
You can get 1 hour of CLE credit for 6 hours of pro bono work, in half hour increments. This is your total number of hours, divided by 6, rounded down to the nearest half hour. Please note: you are eligible for a total of 6 CLE credits for pro bono per biennium. Please check your Supreme Court transcript to verify how many CLE for pro bono hours you have already.
SIGNATURE LINE: Please sign (electronic signature is permitted), date, and enter your attorney registration number.
Once finished, save-as on your computer so you can keep a copy for yourself and also email/print for Legal Aid.
This form should be returned to Legal Aid, NOT the Supreme Court. You have two options for returning this form:
- Email: You will need to save a copy of your form, complete it, and return it as an attachment to: probono@lasclev.org, OR
- Mail: Complete the form electronically (or print and complete) and mail it to:
