Legal Aid is seeking student volunteers for its 117th Annual Meeting on December 2. Dr. Henry Louis Gates is the keynote speaker.
Volunteers need to commit to at least 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. on December 2, in personal at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel. We'd like volunteers to consider optional extra time from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Legal Aid will provide free parking, free event admission, and dinner to volunteers. Planned duties will include:
- 12:30 p.m. - check-in, orientation
- 12:45 p.m. - assist with registration, greet guests, help attorneys with CLE registration
- 1:45 p.m. - help guests find seats and encouraging guests to take seats
- 2:00 p.m. - enjoy program for 117th Annual Meeting from special reserved seats + enjoy keynote remarks by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.
- 3:15 p.m. - greet and thank guests, help escort guests to dinner reception
- 3:30 p.m. - enjoy dinner reception and (if available) help Legal Aid staff through 5:30 pm. with event wrap-up
Helping at this event will count as pro bono hours for Legal Aid.
