Accounting Internship
The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland (Legal Aid) seeks an Accounting Intern to work up to 20 hours per week in its Downtown Cleveland office.
The internship will begin October 2013. The position may develop into an ongoing position. The Intern selected will be asked to commit for a minimum of 3-4 months.
This is an ideal position for any individual looking for hands-on experience at a nonprofit organization, and for someone with interest in Accounting and Finance.
The Accounting/Finance Intern will assist in various areas of the Administration Group, such as:
Primary Responsibilities:
Account reconciliation
Assist with Accounting functions
Update and maintain spreadsheets and data on Excel, input data into various databases and other systems
Analysis and other administrative tasks
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications: Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Accounting knowledge through course work. Knowledge of Excel and Word Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks. An ideal candidate would demonstrate an interest in the nonprofit/public interest sector.
Compensation: This Internship offers an hourly rate of $12.00 depending on experience and course work. Additionally, Legal Aid works with numerous colleges and universities to offer credit or service hours for the time interns work.
