This week's Cleveland Jewish News reported:

Susan Bamberger will receive the The Advocacy in Action Award at the National Council of Jewish Women's Lois Zaas Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, Nov. 14. She will be honored for her work as chair with the NCJW Cleveland project, "The Brief Advice and Referral Clinics," a project in cooperation with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.

Bamberger is former administrator for the Cuyahoga County Public Defender's Office.

"As the driving force behind NCJW's wonderful volunteer efforts with the Volunteer Lawyers Program of the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, she has been so impressive in her tireless commitment to working with us to address "˜the justice gap' for low-income persons in Cuyahoga County," said Ann Porath of the Legal Aid Society.
