Attorney Training: Expunging and Sealing Criminal Records CLE

This training will cover the statutes and resources relevant to expunging and sealing criminal records in Ohio. Over the past several years, Ohio legislation has greatly expanded the ability to expunge or seal criminal records. The most recent changes opened possibilities for many who were previously ineligible.

This 1.0-hour virtual CLE will cover the basics of Ohio statutes as well as the current process used by The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland to expunge or seal criminal records. All current and interested volunteer attorneys are welcome to attend!

By helping people expunge or seal their criminal records, volunteers can remove obstacles, therefore helping people find work, advance in current positions, secure stable housing, escape the cycle of poverty, and move on with their lives.
