The City of Richmond Heights and the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court will host a Community Awareness Event on Domestic Violence on Wednesday, October 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Richmond Heights Community Center. This inaugural event seeks to bring attention to the urgent issue of domestic violence while providing resources and support to victims and their families. This event is a determined effort to combat the silent epidemic of domestic violence throughout Cuyahoga County.
The evening will feature local advocates, survivors, and community partners who are dedicated to raising awareness and building safer communities. More than just an event, this gathering represents a movement to stand with victims, amplify their voices, and strengthen the county’s collective response to domestic violence.
Judge Tonya R. Jones will open the program, setting a tone of unity and shared responsibility. The planning committee includes a distinguished group of community leaders:
