Ohio enacted a “sales tax holiday” from Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, 2015. Back to school items can be purchased tax-free during this weekend. The following items are exempt from sales and uses tax during this time period:
- Clothing priced at $75 per item or less;
- School supplies priced at $20 per item of less; and
- School instructional material priced at $20 per item or less.
