The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Overview & Effective Communications for Legal Practitioners 

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects people with disabilities from discrimination. This program will provide an overview of the ADA, describing the scope of each of the main titles, with a focus on the titles covering government entities and private establishments. The program will also review the ADA’s effective communications provisions for persons with vision, hearing, and speech disabilities. To illustrate the impact of the ADA, the program will highlight examples from Department of Justice enforcement actions.
