We stand in solidarity with the oppressed and ignored in our community.
Since 1905, Legal Aid has fought for equity and justice. We recognize that we can achieve freedom from oppression only when we all work together.
In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.”
The windows of our Cleveland Office were damaged last night. The shattered glass represents only a tiny fraction of the pain so many feel.
Poverty, oppression, and racism are real. They must end. Legal Aid grieves with those who experience the violence of racism. Legal Aid stands with our community for justice and peace.
