The Cleveland Public Library and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland are set to receive a major donation Friday.

Both organizations will get $75,000 each from the NFL Foundation and Cisco to provide new, additional technology and promote more access to justice for people in the Cleveland area.

The money will be used in several different ways. The Library will create video conference rooms for people to connect to services, like legal assistance.

The $150,000 total donation kicks off the Inspire Change Huddle Legacy Grant project. It is part of the NFL's ongoing social justice work. The donation is also another way Cisco is fulfilling its purpose to power an inclusive future by providing equal access to technology.

Friday's event will include a plaque presentation by the NFL, a tour of the Rice Branch of the Cleveland Public Library, remarks from the Executive Directors of the Legal Aid Society and Cleveland Public Library, plus NFL Legends Storytime and a CPL Play gaming activity for kids. Pro Football Hall of Famer Will Shields, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993, and Kevin Dyson, who was drafted by the Tennessee Oilers in 1998, were both on hand Friday for Storytime and for the check presentation.
