Conversation About Fair Housing: The Chicago Way!

Eric Sirota, Director of Housing Justice at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, will discuss his organization’s effort to pass a Fair Chance Housing Ordinance in Cook County, IL, and a recent Illinois state statute to address housing inequity. Sirota has spent his career advocating for homeowners and tenants in a variety of contexts. He graduated from law school during the Great Recession and has worked for the Prairie State Legal Services, helping to lead their foreclosure defense practice.

This virtual event is being hosted by The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, The Shriver Center, Enterprise Community Partners, and the Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry.
