Colleen M. Cotter, Esq., Executive Director of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, was recently appointed to the board of trustees of the Lakewood Community Services Center.
A Lakewood resident, Colleen has been the Executive Director of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland since 2005.
Lakewood Community Services Center provides basic needs assistance and referral services in areas such as food assistance, housing assistance, senior services, and youth programming. The Center’s board of trustees provides leadership and oversight of the Center’s work in the delivery of programs.
Colleen is active in the community and has served on numerous boards, including Saint Luke’s Foundation, Cleveland State University College of Law Visiting Committee, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation, the Center for Community Solutions, and the National Legal Aid and Defender Association. She was a member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2011 and was selected by Crain's Cleveland Business as a 2017 Women of Note honoree.
Colleen received her JD, summa cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law and her BA, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
