Retired Legal Aid attorney Joseph P. Meissner was named "2013 Outstanding Veteran of the Year" by the Joint Veterans Commission of Cuyahoga County.
Veterans from wars past and present, from Korea to Afghanistan, braved a snowstorm and closed ranks February 17 for the 89th anniversary installation and awards dinner of the Joint Veterans’ Commission of Cuyahoga County. Nearly 300 former and current service members and their families filled the ballroom of the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Independence hotel for the Presidents Day occasion that featured presentation of the 2013 Outstanding Veteran of the Year to Cleveland attorney and Army veteran Joseph P. Meissner.
