The Gig is Up: How Gig Work Fuels Inequality

Did you know 30% of gig workers are paid under the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hour? What can we do to push back against the injustice of the gig economy?

Join us for a conversation featuring:

  • Yvonka Hall, Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition;
  • Rebecca King, former Instacart & Doordash worker;
  • TJ "Peachcurls" Maclin, comedian, musician, voice actor; &
  • Nick Kerr, Staff Attorney, Legal Aid.

The conversation will be preceded & followed by performances by Cleveland gig workers-- the string quartet Ensemble Mercury (featuring members of AFM Local 4) & alternative soul singer Sierra Delaine.

No registration necessary, all are welcome!

Presented by: Northeast Ohio Worker Center, Cleveland Art Workers, The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland
