Valid identification and/or a driver’s license are more and more crucial to daily life – enrolling in school, apply for a job, navigating health care, all require ID. People who do not have vital documents such as birth certificates, baptismal records or other proof of birth have an extremely difficult time getting a valid ID. Driver’s licenses have challenges also because in Ohio a person’s driver’s license can be suspended as punishment for over 40 difference violations. Acquiring professional licenses can also be difficult, especially for people who have a criminal record.
