Legal Aid needs the help of volunteers!
Legal Aid, United Way and NewsChannel 5 are hosting an October 23 information phone bank focused on eviction prevention. We need your help! Volunteers will help staff the virtual phone bank and provide eviction prevention information to callers. This is a 100% virtual volunteer experience - law students and attorneys need to simply assist from a quiet, private location anywhere in the United States. A training and script will be provided!
Time commitment is 3.5 hours over two days:
- Thursday, October 22, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: virtual training via Zoom (1 hour)
- Friday, October 23, 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: virtual phone bank with Channel 5 (2.5 hours)
You must participate in the full 3.5 hour experience - training is necessary ahead of the information phone bank.
