The demand for Legal Aid’s services continues to grow as does the need for quality assistance from both legal and non-legal volunteers.

Others, including paralegals and non-legal volunteers, may be interested in our In-House Volunteer Program. These volunteer opportunities will be at one of the Legal Aid offices (e.g., our Cleveland office at 1223 West Sixth Street) and will help support our staff. All volunteers will receive necessary training and tools (i.e., phones and computers). Our In-House Volunteer positions are designed for those who can make a significant commitment of time, typically 12 hours a week for a period of at least 3 months. As Legal Aid’s needs change with our client’s needs, the volunteer positions may be in one of our practice groups, at reception, or in administration (finance, development and executive).
Qualifications: The paralegal and non-legal volunteer positions require a commitment to public service and advocacy for low-income persons; the ability to work alone and with a professional team; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and an appreciation for diverse cultures and communities.
To Apply: Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
