Self Help Materials

Welcome to the Self Help resources for The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.

Self Help legal tools can assist you with resolving legal problems on your own.  Some links to the left will provide you with forms that you have to print, fill out, and file with the court.  Other links will connect to an online tool called “A2J” or “Access to Justice.”

When filling out paper forms or answering questions using A2J, you will have to provide information about yourself and your legal problem.  The A2J tools will help you determine if you are eligible for a particular legal remedy, and also provide you with the required paperwork to file with the court.

You will not receive advice from an attorney when using any of these tools.  If you have questions about any of the information, forms, or tools available here, you should consult with an attorney for advice about your particular situation.  Legal Aid hosts free Brief Advice Clinics in northeast Ohio for people who have low income.  The schedule for upcoming Brief Advice Clinics can be found here by clicking here.

This website is meant to give you general information and not to give you specific legal advice. This information cannot take the place of advice from a lawyer. Each case is different and needs individual legal advice. You should contact a lawyer if you need representation or if you have questions.
