Founded in 1905, The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland is the fifth-oldest legal aid society in the world and has an illustrious history of providing high-quality legal services for indigent clients. Legal Aid serves five counties in northeast Ohio – Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain.

Legal Aid is a civil legal services program and focuses on issues of housing, consumer, health, education, work, income, immigration, and family law.

Our mission is to secure justice and resolve fundamental problems for those who are low income and vulnerable by providing high quality legal services and working for systemic solutions.
